Remember the old book, If You Give a Mouse A Cookie? That happens to me SO often in the sales in Second Life. This particular instance started with a off the cuff message from my sister with the ad pic from Velour’s new skin – Faye. Ooh, weekend sale with tones between $90-99L. For that price, I’ll take two! Well, no. Not two, I only have one face (I don’t care what you’ve heard!) I did decide that I could finally live out my holosexual tendancies in a literal way. So… if you give a gal a holo skin face for $99L, she’s gonna want her body to match. Again, thanks to my much younger, more beautiful, identical twin sister who cheered me on in my hunt through Velour’s main store. So, they’re not with the regular skin, they’re with the fantasy skins – oh! but not THOSE fantasy skins, those have ALL the colors it seems EXCEPT the one I was looking for.

Turns out, if you give a girl her holographic body to match her face, she’s gonna want elf ears, cause this is second life, we have ear appliers now. And before you ask, no – I couldn’t just use the regular ones that come with the Lelu head, cause I have gauges, and evidently, suspending reality so that I have holographic skin is where I draw the line! So, off to Swallow (the brand, not the action – Thanks, Luck) I snagged the pixie ears and some pixie focused jewelry – When in Rome… then obvs I needed some fun hair in colors that my rl industry would call “not occurring in nature” at this point, I decided that surely I had clothing and hair befitting a faerie queen.

So… if you give a gal a fantasy skin for $99L… She’ll probably turn into your Manic Pixie Dream Girl.
